I constantly get offers from people involved in other types of “businesses”.

Especially all the multi-level schemes out there.

Most of the MLMs are just to lure people in so that the company can make money from the membership charges.

I don’t often see real people making any real money as a result of the MLM’s “system”.

(Sorry to burst your bubble, but I don’t pull punches.)

But people come to me pitching their MLM business because they know I know a lot of people through Traction, and therefore I would be a great source for whatever product or offering their MLM company is hawking.

I always politely just turn them down.

Why?

Because it’s just a distraction from my core business.

And when you get distracted from your core, you fail.

When you jump from one thing to another without even spending long enough to give it a true shot, you fail.

And when you chase a sketchy dream by focusing on building someone else’s business, you fail too.

So stick to your knitting, as my British friends say.

I don’t sell phone service.

Or internet service.

Or energy from wind farms.

I do real estate deals.

Profitable ones.

That’s my specialty and I’m stickin’ to it.

Because I know what works.

I know what I believe.

And ignoring what I’ve learned all these years is only a recipe for disaster.
