I am very honored to receive the Colombian Presidential Award “100 Colombians”.
The award is given to 100 Colombian individuals every year who have become successful abroad, are leaders in their industry, and have changed the face of Colombia outside of the country.
The 100 Colombians list was assembled after extensive field research and nominations from key business, social, and political Colombian leaders.
My success in the Real Estate investing and the entrepreneurial education industry is a direct result of focus, dedication and perseverance. When I came to the US back in 2001 I had only one goal in mind: to be a successful business owner and entrepreneur. I wanted to achieve financial independence so I could live the life I always wanted. To have the time to spend it with family, friends, and enjoy my passion for traveling.
Creative Real Estate was the vehicle towards my success. I say ‘creative’ because the traditional real estate where you need money, credit and a license, was not an option for me.
I needed a technique that allowed me to generate income fast and that’s when I found Wholesaling. After I few deals, I realized that my Colombian negotiation and marketing skills came in very handy and in 2 short years I was able to quit my 9-to-5 job and invest in real estate full time.
It wasn’t easy but I did it. I accomplished my goal to have a profitable and successful business.
Now I can enjoy time with my family and friends. Especially now that my husband Tom and I are blessed with our second son. I am able to stay home, take care of my family, and keep my real estate business going strong.
This award, more than a recognition of my hard work, is a motivation to keep growing as an entrepreneur and as a person.
I thank my husband Tom who taught me how to make money in real estate, my two sons Tommy and Dominic who give me the daily inspiration every mom needs, and my parents and my sister for believing in me and for their support.
And a big thanks to our Traction Family, to all our Association members, our bootcamp students, and everyone receiving this email. You are all part of my success because when you make money in real estate because of me or Traction, or your business becomes more profitable, or your lifestyle improves, I am also accomplishing the greatest gift of teaching someone how to make it on their own!
