I’m really sick of it.
If I’ve heard it once, I’ve heard it a thousand times.
What am I referring to?
The stories people tell themselves for why they cannot, or have not, succeeded.
And it’s always nothing but a lame-ass excuse.
Rather than hunkering down and doing what needs to be done, people blame everything else but themselves for their lack of success.
Sorry to break it to you old sport, but the reason you haven’t done it yet is because of the person staring back at you in the mirror.
Yes, it’s easier to blame circumstances.
Yes, it’s easier to blame your finances.
And yes, it’s easier to blame someone else (spouse, kids, parents, boss, colleagues, friends, etc).
But you could change all of that if you really wanted to.
IF you really wanted to put the effort into doing it.
But rather than put that effort in, people instead come up with all kinds of excuses.
“That isn’t what I’m really after.”
(Then what are you really after?)
“That goal doesn’t exactly match mine.”
(Then what goals do?)
“That’s not what I really want.”
(Fine, then what do you really want?)
See, all you have to do is re-frame the excuse.
It’s that simple.
Then you have no way out but to actually answer the questions facing you.
But that makes you uncomfortable, and so the excuses continue…
After all, it’s easier to stay stuck wandering around on your own for years,
Rather than learning how to get ahead on your own.
To fix this problem, most people need only to learn the basics, and then be pushed to implement it all.
Then they would have the ability to focus in on what they’re personally after.
But people think they’ll somehow magically do it on their own first.
And so the years go by.
And it doesn’t happen.
That’s no surprise to me. (Because it just doesn’t work that way.)
And that’s when the excuses start to stream in from them.
But the excuses are pure B.S.
To paraphrase Nike:
You “Just Didn’t Do It”
So drop the excuses.
And commit to making it happen from this point forward.
I’ll teach you each step of the way.
