It’s considered one of the world’s most risky activities.
But I love it!
And the training for my scuba certification for Cave Diving was fascinating.
The entrance to the cave was basically a hole in the ground filled with water. At the bottom of that hole was a passage to squeeze through that led to an underwater tunnel that then led to the cave system.
Definitely an activity one needs to be trained for, as there are a lot of things to be careful about when diving into an underground cave filled with water.
Make too many mistakes and you can easily die.
* Visibility can disappear in a minute if you kick up too much silt.
* Equipment failure can leave you without light to see or without air to breath.
* Not using a cable reel or not tying it correctly means you can get lost and never find your way back.
* And the list goes on and on…
So why do something so dangerous?
Because it’s fun.
Because it’s fascinating.
Because it teaches you to push — and expand — your own internal mental and physical limits.
Because you feel alive.
Delightfully alive.
The training is very exacting.
It needs to be.
Because if the proverbial hits the fan for you or any of your team members, you need to know what to do.
You need to know how to handle it.
You need to know how to solve the problem and get back out of the cave and to the surface safety.
So training is key.
And repetition of the skills you learn is key.
It’s the same in your real estate business.
You need to learn the skills.
You need to be trained.
You need to practice and use repetition to become a master.
In marketing.
In negotiation.
And in managing the ins-and-outs of the legal side of a deal so you get paid.
Then you can safely, efficiently, and effective make money flipping houses.
