During the 2nd World War, my all-time hero Winston Churchill set up an elite “Special Operations Executive” to “conduct espionage, sabotage and reconnaissance in occupied Europe against the Axis powers.”
It became known as the “Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare”.
Because they did all the “irregular” type of missions.
* The secret stuff.
* The crazy and outlandish.
* Things that weren’t normal.
* Things that weren’t considered ‘proper’.
* Things that required intrigue, cunning, risk, and dare.
And while not normal or proper, they were crucial to undermining the enemy and winning the war.
Sounds like a perfect fit for entrepreneurs today.
Because we don’t operate according to the “rules” either.
* We don’t want to work 9-to-5 jobs.
* We don’t want to be stuck earning only what convention tells us is acceptable for our education level or social standing.
* And we don’t want to be bored doing only the same task over and over again until we die.
That’s just not the way we roll, baby.
So it’s different for an entrepreneur.
Especially a real estate entrepreneur.
We want to live life on our own terms, not have to answer to anybody, and have a solid bankroll in our pockets to spend freely on adventures and missions of our own choosing.
That’s quite often what initially motivates us to go off on our own.
But the world doesn’t “get” entrepreneurs.
Because most people are stuck in a world of having to have a so-called “safe & secure” job.
Stuck answering to a boss with only a nominal raise each year.
And stuck following the “accepted” way of working one’s life away (only to find out there isn’t much left for retirement and actually having to downgrade just when you thought you were finally free.)
So what’s it going to be for you?
Follow the conventional methods and stay stuck?
Or take the “ungentlemanly” route and break free?
It starts with having a solid plan.
Executing that plan.
And then following through to victory and success.
