The Millennial view on wholesaling

One of my mentoring students started telling me about “The Millennial view on wholesaling”.

“What I want is authenticity” he said.

Yup.

That’s a very common demand from millennials. They’ve just grown skeptical of so many things.

He continued:
“I also don’t want to go ask or be like those know-it-all people on [popular website] with their fake success smiles when you know they’re not even making a lot of money, their presence on the site seems self-aggrandizing.”

Ouch.

But true.

“The biggest thing for me is trust and getting a tangible understanding of what the objective is and how that gets done, because many real estate info marketers are just selling a system that maybe used to work and doesn’t really work now, so they’re closer to MLM ethically which is a big no, and have no care if what they’re offering will really work.  It’s smart to sell the shovels to the gold rush but the shovels have to work.”

“What I want is authenticity.  marketing is how things get done.. that is authentic.  You taught me that.”

Important themes indeed.
* Authenticity.
* Marketing.
* Getting things done.
* Having it really work.

I get it.

Good lessons in all this. For millennials. And for the other generations as well. Read this message again if you missed the lessons.

Am I authentic?
