The Benefits of Bed Rest

I’m overwhelmed and extremely grateful for all the messages, best wishes, and prayers from our Traction Family. Thank you so much!

I’m glad to report that I’m feeling very well and the baby has been behaving so good that today I’ve reached week 34 (3 more weeks and the baby will be full term). So I think bed rest, prayers, a great doctor, and the love of my husband and family have proven to be the best medicine!

I’m actually “enjoying” bed rest. Let me tell you why.

I’m physically “useless” meaning I can’t drive, walk or stand for long periods of time, cook, pick up toys, exercise, play soccer with my son Tommy, or dance, among other things.

But what I can do, and actually am doing it even better than before, is work. That’s right… work ON my business.

When I started investing in real estate in 2003, my goal was to be financially independent, have my own business, have time for myself, my family and friends and work from home. I was able to accomplish that in 2005 when I quit my job because I had built up a solid real estate business.

And thanks to all the hard work, I can now enjoy the benefits of managing my business from bed with a computer and phone. And that’s exactly what I have been doing: taking care of business.

But don’t worry, I’m not a workaholic. I take a lot of breaks and naps and my priority is my health and the baby’s. I know my level of stress has to be under control and I need to follow the doctor’s orders.

What I am saying is that even if I’m in bed, my brain, ideas, entrepreneurial spirit and business management skills are intact, and in fact, improved.

I have a lot of time now to get things done. Work on projects I had postponed, improve current practices and systems for my real estate business, plan meetings, bootcamps and events for Traction REIA and Traction Mentors, and as always, take care of our members and students.

So if you have a question or request for Traction, this is actually a great time. Don’t think that because I’m in bed rest I can’t answer your membership or real estate questions or even complaints. Yes, every business get complaints and great businesses welcome them so they get better, and we do.

I’m still here for YOU to help you improve/start your real estate business and become the successful real estate entrepreneur you want to be.

So shoot! If you need to call our offices with questions, please do so. We have a great team who’s ready to answer your calls from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.

We also have a great assistant who helps us take care of our members, clients, deals and students.

And you have me. And you always will, as long I’m not in the hospital or delivering my baby J. And even if I’m not available, our team will be.

So, let’s get some work done! I’m doing my part, now it’s time for you to do yours.
