“I did what you said. I called back again. We ended up making an offer on one of the duplexes and got an accepted offer. I used quite a few of your negotiation tactics on this one. Got them to give a price first which they said $80,000. I came back with a specific number of $71,210. They immediately came down to $75,000 and said that was their bottom. I told them I had to get approval from my partner but would call them back after I heard back. We then accepted the offer for $75,000. Then they tried to nibble by asking $500 in earnest money after I had $100 in the contract and also wanted us to start paying for water a week before taking ownership. I shot down the water request but agreed to $250 earnest.”
