Weeks before he died in 1916, the author Jack London was quoted in an interview as saying:

“I would rather be ashes than dust. I would rather that my spark should burn out in a brilliant blaze than that it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The proper function of man is to LIVE. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.”

True dat!

And yet so many people just let their life slip by and slip away.

Wrapped up in routine.

Trapped by the lack of fun time and the lack of finances to maximize that fun time.

So they simply exist, rather than LIVE.

Listen up, because this is important:

You only get one life to live.

You don’t get a “do-over” and you can’t go back.

But…

You can move ahead.

You can change what you don’t like.

You can cut a new path going forward.

You just need to take that first step to make it all happen.

And then cling tenaciously to achieving the outcome you want.

Don’t take “no” for an answer.

And never quit.

Don’t sit around and wait for it to happen.

Go forth and actually MAKE IT HAPPEN.

That’s the only way.
