The roots keep the tree upright when the storm comes

Says a current student of mine…

CRYSTAL M.:
Hi Tom, I appreciate the way you run your business. I must admit that here and there, I get shiny object syndrome and end up taking a peek at someone else’s coaching program. The bells and whistles of some other program may lure me in – I’m learning now that it’s more of a distraction from my marketing. I don’t know why but a lot of times the other program ultimately doesn’t seem like a good fit for me.

I’ve always liked your coaching for being straight forward and especially your videos. You challenge me to think deeply about what I want for my life and what I really need to do to make it happen. I don’t get that a lot of places. Thanks!

TOM:

You must avoid bright shiny objects.

At all costs.

They are designed by an attention-deficit demanding world to derail you from what YOU really want to be doing.

This is the importance of having the right, correct, and proper foundation for real estate investing.

The roots keep the tree upright when the storm comes.

And the storm will always come.

Yes, it’s easy to get seduced by the latest and greatest self-proclaimed “guru” who is thumping their chest on Flakebook or who has decided to hang out a coaching shingle and give it a go.

But that rarely leads to anywhere for you, and gives only quick riches for them (they often can’t repeat their initial “success” in “coaching” and so they disappear as fast as they came).

The solution?

Feed yourself on knowledge.

Timeless knowledge.

Foundational knowledge.

Knowledge that will stay with you — and be useable — no matter which direction the market is heading.

Knowledge about the structure and methods of a real estate business that has been successful over time.

Knowledge such as marketing.

That’s one of the 5 major foundational focuses at my 1-day “Wholesaling: The Rapid Cash Generator” Masterclass this Sunday January 7th.
(You can see the other 4 here: https://TractionREIA.com/tom )

By feeding yourself only the good stuff, you’ll help to keep focus, as when you experience what works, it’ll be easier to not get swayed away.

Ready to get on — and stay on — the correct path for 2018?
