Tom… one of my favorite quotes regarding this subject is by Milton Friedman:
“The society that puts equality before freedom will end up with neither. The society that puts freedom before equality will end up with a great measure of both.”

Indeed.
How many peoples and societies have been crushed by the false notion of trying to enforce equal outcomes?
And it never seems to be about bringing everyone up to a great level, but rather keeping everyone down in a pool of misery. (Think of any communist country and their disastrous results (including the mass murder of their people.))
Face it, there’s always somebody faster.
Stronger.
Thinner.
Prettier.
And yes, richer.
So what?
That’s life.
What should be equal is opportunity (not outcome).
And in America you have that.
(Though many people try to tell you that you don’t — which is their way of trying to control you. Don’t fall for it!)
