Complaints that I don’t teach anything in my emails

“Tom, why do you sell something in every email? I came here to learn, not be sold to.”

Time to despatch this sadly mistaken thought…

A quick review of my last 6 messages and the lesson taught in each.

1. “Worry is a dividend paid to disaster before it is due”

The lesson was that you can’t let your emotions, especially worry, cripple you from taking any action because you assume the worst. If you don’t take action in a positive direction, you won’t get what you want.

2. “What I really think of ‘Shark Tank'”

The lesson: Be patient to work for what you want your business to be, rather than give away a huge chunk of equity in it at the beginning just to get it moving. You are better off keeping complete control and bootstrapping your way to success.

3. “The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare”

The lesson: The normal work-a-day world doesn’t understand your entrepreneurial spirit, but don’t worry about it. It’s okay to break free. Sometimes it’s the “irregular” stuff that wins the battle.

4.It’s okay to let the money motivate you”

The lesson: Money can be very motivating towards achieving your goals. Many people think money is inherently bad, but it’s really neutral. You’ll determine what you do with it, good or otherwise.

5. “Danger, like a third man, was standing in the room”

The lesson: Be careful when going to meet sellers or to inspect properties. There are dangers to be aware of so you don’t get hurt. Heck, this was basically a public service announcement.

6. “Speaker of the House’s Real Estate Advice”

The lesson: Know your LOCAL market, as all real estate markets are different. You need to know what is going on in the specific area you are ‘farming’ so that you can best find motivated sellers, know what level to rehab properties to, and how fast and for how much they will sell.

So yes, there is a lesson first and foremost in each email.

And yes, I pitch in every single email as well, because I have what you need.

And if I don’t sell you on it, then you can’t get better.

(Just like a doctor who needs to “sell” you on taking your medicine to get better.)

I ain’t gonna do anyone any good if I can’t get you to invest in my systems, trainings, and bootcamps.
