There are winners and losers in everything.

— The loser waits until it is too late and gets hosed.
— The winner plans ahead to legally minimize taxes.
— The loser collects their receipts in a GIANT shoebox.
— The winner knows a profitable business needs a proper bookkeeping system.
— The loser operates as a sole proprietor because it is the default.
— The winner knows the default is massively risky and therefore sets up an entity to operate business out of.
— The loser thinks all legal entities are the same.
— The winner takes steps to learn the basic differences so that they choose the one best suited to their personal needs and situation.
— The loser goes along clueless to all the extra taxes they are paying.
— The winner uses strategies designed to legally reduce their tax burden and therefore keep more of the green stuff.
— The loser loses a ton of money in taxes every year.
— The winner knows their money is better spent on their own family, lifestyle, and goals.
— The loser whines that taxes are complicated and doesn’t bother to even learn the basics.
— The winner knows that just a bit of knowledge on the topic can save them thousands of bucks.
And the list goes on and on…
Which you choose to be is up to you.
