I’m very late writing today.
Spent the past few days out of town doing a 2-day private on-site session with one of the students in my top-level mentoring program.
Now I’m back home and just felt like hanging out with my kid.
So we hit the park, a museum, and since one thing leads to another, we jumped on the paddle boats in front of the Jefferson Memorial.
(Which was great because there’s no line and no wait on a midday Tuesday — one of the many benefits of not having a 9-to-5)
There was nothing fast about the paddle boats.
And that’s the point.
You are supposed to take your time and enjoy the process.
Just like building a real estate business.
Sometimes it might seem like it’s moving slow, but you are actually making more progress than you think — as long as you point yourself in the right direction and keep peddling.
But all that peddling does get tiring.
And you start to wear out.
It’s fine for a while, but not for the long-haul.
And, I will admit, I do like speed.
So while it’s fun paddling around looking at monuments, in my business life I want some speed!
And I bet you do too.
So upgrade to a power boat here and simply get there faster:
